Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The Strategic/Operative Purchaser (SOP) will be responsible for managing purchasing activities for Hug Engineering AG in Tobaccoville, USA and its subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany, in close collaboration with internal teams.
  • The SOP will also serve as the strategic purchaser/commodity manager for designated suppliers, working closely with various Hug functions such as R&D, Project Management, Operations, and Quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all purchasing activities for assigned commodities at Hug, including negotiating with suppliers, managing production schedules, and acting as a reliable business partner for key stakeholders.
  • Place and monitor purchase orders for projects or warehouse needs using the ERP system.
  • Ensure the required quality, on-time delivery, and cost performance for project purchases.
  • Review and approve supplier invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
