Description

The Federal Cartel Office is an independent competition authority within the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The place of employment is Bonn. We employ approximately 450 employees, half of whom have a legal or economic education. Our task is to ensure competition.

For several years now, we have been focusing on the fundamental changes in the economy brought about by digitization. In addition to a large number of antitrust proceedings in the digital economy - including abuse proceedings against leading internet companies - we use our powers in the field of consumer protection to scrutinize digital business models. In all these areas, we work together with the European Commission, state cartel authorities, and foreign competition authorities. In addition, we are currently building the first purely digital register in Germany with the Competition Register.

In the "IT Operations" department (Z3C), we are looking to fill a position as an IT specialist (m/f/d) with a Bachelor's or FH diploma (reference number: in full-time or part-time as soon as possible.

These interesting areas of responsibility are waiting for you:

Technical support, further development, and conception of central IT systems (e.g. network infrastructure, server virtualization based on VMware ESXi, various Linux distributions and Windows server versions, IT security infrastructure)

Coordination and implementation of projects in IT operations, if necessary in cooperation with external service providers
