Duties:


  • Utilize a financial automated system to process all accounting transactions, adjustments, and to receive and distribute funding allotments to subordinate units.
  • Generate routine fund status reports and exporting results to MS Excel for analysis. Create reporting variants in the Business Intelligence (Bl) module for all procurement, civilian payroll, and travel cost accounting.
  • Assist with Tri-Annual Joint Reconciliation Program (JRP) reporting and analyses.
  • Analyze headquarters program and budgetary guidance.
  • Create obligation documents for nonDTS (IATS) travel, miscellaneous obligation documents, and Purchase Orders, and to certify funds on all applicable purchase requisitions.
  • Provide local budget policy and procedures, budget formulation assumptions, and formats and schedules to serviced organizations for budget submission.

Required Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing current year executions; interpreting financial policies; reviewing fund status and commitment documents; utilizing a financial automated system; preparing fund authorization documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).


Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

    TERM Not to Exceed 3 years position. It is timelimited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. This term appointment may not be made permanent from this announcement.
