is looking for Active or Retired Law Enforcement / Corrections Officer (retired must have a NYS Armed Guard license, HR 218) for various locations in New York City.


These are ARMED assignments.

Shift Times:
Floating Day Shifts As Needed

Duties:


  • Patrol designated areas to ensure the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • PRIOR LAW ENFORCEMENT or CORRECTIONAL OFFICER
  • Retired LEOs must have Security Guard License and firearms permits
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state/city licensing requirements for Security Officers in New York
  • Armed positions, Black/Dark suit, dress shirt, tie required.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
  • Courteous telephone or radio manner.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
  • Ability to provide highquality customer service.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Clearly communicates with employees and clients, observes, and reports incidents, and directs others.
  • Frequent standing and walking may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines.

Experience:


  • VALID NYS ARMED SECURITY GUARD LICENSE (EXCEPT ACTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER)
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques is a plus
  • Excellent observation and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in highpressure situations
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities

Pay Range:
$37 per hour
