    Job Title: Project Architect at Award-Winning Architectural Practice

    Company: 50-person distinguished architectural practice


    The award-winning architectural practice with 50 team members is actively seeking a Project Architect to join their growing studios in Newport Beach or Solana Beach. For over three decades, the firm has specialized in programming, planning, design, and management services, primarily focusing on Educational Facilities. They have offices in Orange County, San Diego, and East Bay, showcasing a wealth of professional knowledge, talent, and commitment to clients.

    The studios offer hybrid work arrangements and emphasize the professional growth and development of their designers, architects, and managers.


    Position Description:

    • Play a pivotal role in producing top-tier construction documents adhering to company standards
    • Manage multiple assignments concurrently
    • Ensure all tasks meet high standards of professionalism
    • Be involved in all project phases from design to completion within budget constraints
    • Oversee and mentor a production team to ensure quality and client service

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Project Manager in crafting project work plan
    • Assist in preparing project budget
    • Uphold quality control and project management standards
    • Ensure compliance with Revit Standards
    • Conduct code research and provide construction insights
    • Collaborate with team members in document development
    • Facilitate team meetings for project synchronization
    • Coordinate work with consulting engineers and professionals
    • Support Construction Administrator in project processes
    • Maintain comprehensive project files
    • Build positive relationships with team, consultants, agencies, and clients
    • Contribute to Business Development efforts

    Skills & Requirements:

    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Experience in educational projects and DSA regulations preferred
    • Proficiency in Revit Architecture required
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling programs
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
    • Interpret architectural drawings proficiently
    • Understanding of diverse construction delivery methods
    • Demonstrated expertise with building codes
    • Track record of motivating and inspiring team members

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
    • Preference for California Licensed Architects
