    ABOUT THE GIRLTREK MOVEMENT

    GirlTREK is a grassroots, movement-building organization and is the largest and most inspiring non-profit organization for Black women's health in the nation. With a membership of 1.2 million members, and counting, a viral podcast called Black History Bootcamp with close to 2M downloads and a volunteer infrastructure that directly serves thousands of the nation's Blackest neighborhoods – GirlTREK's influence is unmatched.

    Position Overview: GirlTREK's Brand Experience and Events Manager is part of an effective and award-winning Storytelling team. In this role, you will use data, critical thinking, and creativity to manage stakeholders' engagement with the GirlTREK brand and continuously measure the impact of our engagement strategies in order to increase GirlTREK's online following, donor support, and member engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Event Strategy and Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of GirlTREK's local and national events, ensuring they are impactful and align with organizational goals.
    • Digital Brand Experience Strategy: Supercharge GirlTREK's brand experiences by developing and overseeing the production of engaging digital content that drives traffic and engagement across digital channels such as social, web, app, SMS and email.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, communications, tech, sustainability and street team to ensure cohesive messaging, campaign integration and budget alignment.
    • Vendor and Partner Management: Identify and manage relationships with vendors, agencies, venues, and partners to deliver high-quality event experiences.
    • Impact Measurement: Implement tools and strategies to measure the impact and engagement of events and digital productions, using insights to inform future initiatives.

    • A creative with a passion for crafting memorable, mission-aligned experiences alongside a dynamic group of storytellers.
    • Results-oriented mindset, taking ownership and interest of outcomes while leveraging insights and data to optimize.
    • Commitment to the mission and values of GirlTREK.
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in brand experience and events management.
    • Experience creating online community engagement initiatives and/or a background in digital marketing and communications.
    • Proven experience working across departments including with various stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
    • Experience using reporting and metrics to make recommendations to department leaders and/or senior leadership.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Project Management Software; ability to quickly learn new technologies
    • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Self-motivated & self-directed, able to make good judgment calls, reliable and dependable

    • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance provided.
    • Vacation Time: Unlimited PTO, in addition to an annual winter sabbatical.
    • Off-Season: Competitive 6 weeks off for paid office closure, Dec 1-Jan 15 annually.
    • Retirement Plan: GirlTREK matches contributions to 401K accounts up to 4%.

    Compensation: Each role is benchmarked using national data and considers compensatory factors such as the expectations of the role and the required qualifications for the role. The candidate's final compensation package is determined once the interview is concluded and accounts for the compensatory factors listed above, in addition to experience, competencies, physical location and GirlTREK's annual winter sabbatical. The salary range for this role is $59,300 - $70,000.
