Duties:


  • You will perform or advise on budget execution activities, supporting the passing of funds and tracking of execution and other execution related activities.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
  • You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
  • You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, reviewing and analyzing budget submissions and funding requests, and determining conformance with Marine Corps Objectives.
  • You will ensure the adequacy and reasonableness of the justification submitted and perform quality control analysis to identify errors, inconsistencies and weaknesses.
  • You will review, analyze, and craft Marine Corps Investment program and budget materials to align with guidance and policy from CMC, SECNAV, and DoD. Prepare and submit materials accurately, while being capable of proficiently defending them.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travelrelated purchases.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following
:

_advising on and performing budgetary execution activities, budget formulation, preparing narrative budgets, and analyzing and recommending costs and benefits alternative methods of financial management programs and administrative operations.
