The Data Test Expert will be responsible for testing data end-to-end for products delivered by EDS back office as defined in the Business Requirements Traceability.

The expert will plan and execute test plans to simulate real-time scenarios and catch any issues before the job is deployed in production

Job Description

The Data Test Expert will be responsible for testing data end-to-end for products delivered by EDS back office as defined in the Business Requirements Traceability.

The expert will plan and execute test plans to simulate real-time scenarios and catch any issues before the job is deployed in production

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROCESS
Understand requirements for projects and domains that requires ingestion and integration functionalities for Data Cloud.
Seek for opportunities on how we can plan end to end testing covering:

Business Requirements
Code Quality
Production Readiness
Existing data issues

The expert will also work closely with the Data Engineering and Data Quality teams to ensure that proposed measures are aligned with the overall framework and strategy, while optimizing solutions that won't sacrifice checks to ensure product quality.

Enhancement of existing data framework to automate data testing and improve speed and quality of delivery ensuring end to end use cases are covered.

Ensure controls and compliance metrics are in place to reduce data processing issues and improve service delivery

Reduce production issues caused by:
- code quality
- unsatisfied business requirements

BUSINESS
Partner with the Data Testing Managers / Lead to define and align data testing framework and strategies while providing key inputs from the data testing initiatives
Collaborate with PMO, Solution Designers and Data Engineering to ensure that demands are delivered on time and on spec for faster business value realization of initiative

QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience

3+ years of experience in working with data management teams
3+ years of solid

QA/Testing/Development

experience

3+ years of Advanced SQL experience
3+ years of Test Automation experience
2+ years of experience working with big data and cloud technologies like AWS, Google Cloud and Snowflake

Level of Knowledge

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related

degree

Certification in relevant database and business intelligence technologies is a plus
SQL knowledge
Strong background in Java or Python
Scripting and Test Automation knowledge
Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practice
Understanding of tools (test automation, jira, git, jenkins) and data quality policies and procedures
Meticulous attention to detail with an overall passion for the discipline of Project Management
Understanding of BSS, OSS , IN, and network systems and data structure is a plus
