INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FIELD TECHNICIAN

_ Position Summary_

_ Responsibilities_

  • Visit company sites and facilities to provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting hardware and equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain surveillance equipment, networking devices, and other IT hardware according to company standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and optimize IT solutions and infrastructure across all locations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, equipment checks, and inventory audits, to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems.
  • Assist with IT asset management, including tracking inventory, documenting equipment configurations, and coordinating equipment procurement as needed.
  • Provide user training sessions and create technical documentation to support endusers in utilizing IT hardware and equipment effectively.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve IT processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working onsite at company facilities.

Requirements:


_ Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills_

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support roles, with a focus on field support and onsite troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and equipment issues in a variety of environments.
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance equipment, networking devices, and other IT hardware.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with endusers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple onsite visits.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations as needed.

_ Physical Demands/Environmental Factors_

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work may involve exposure to moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

_ Compensation_


The Information Technology Field Technician position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
