    Description


    General Statement of Duties This position is a part-time evening Custodial Worker (6 hours/day or 30 hours/week) at Freeman High School.

    School year hours (M-F) are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. ; Summer hours
    • M-Th (30 hours).
    Minimum $15.04 per hour.
    This position is open until filled.

    Essential Duties Strips, seals, waxes, and buffs floorsScrubs and rinses floors in assigned areaDamp mops a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, library, halls, stairs, cafeteria, kitchens, locker rooms and mechanical equipment rooms)Dusts a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, stage, library, halls, gym floors, and cafeteria)Sweeps shops, stairs and entrance areas, locker room, bleachers, sidewalks, hallsCleans and scrubs restrooms completelyDusts rooms, offices, furniture and cupboards and removes cobwebsEmpties and washes garbage cansAttends work daily and be engaged and on taskPerforms overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine or emergency basis, as assignedPerforms other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Grade school completion.

    Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment economically and efficiently; ability to follow simple oral and written directions.

    Good physical condition required.
    Ability to work at high altitudes using scaffolds, ladders, etc.


    Physical requirements:

    (Note:

    The salary will be prorated based on the position start date). The listed salary is based on FY 22-23 rates, as FY 23-24 rates have not yet been approved. This position is open until filled.
