Midwest Geothermal is a construction company that specializes in the turnkey installation of "earth batteries" to serve geothermal systems for residential and commercial structures.

Our crews exclusively install geothermal ground source heat exchangers every day, making Midwest Geothermal the contractor of choice in Michigan and across the United States.


Who We Need


Our company is rapidly growing and we are looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our Drill Rig Operations team Must be reliable and willing to travel when needed as we do work all over the country.

Geothermal drilling experience is
not required, we will train you and teach you everything you need to know to become a Driller


Job Perks

Responsibilities:


  • Operate or assist with operation of various types of heavy equipment, including drilling rigs, backhoes, loaders, grout mixers, and water trucks.
  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assists in the preparation of the drill site
  • Assists with other onsite responsibilities including site cleanup and grouting of bore holes
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills

  • Proficient in operating various types of Heavy Equipment.
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and requirements.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Excellent handeye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Requirements:


  • Ability to travel
  • Per diem and housing costs will be provided
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (Cold, Hot, Rain, Snow, etc.)
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid drivers license CDL required
  • Ability to pass a preemployment drug screen and physical (we also do random drug testing)
