Position Objective:
This position will assist in the functional areas of the Continuous Improvement Department to optimize the organizations data, ensuring the control, integrity, and accessibility of data and documents.
Responsibilities:
- Develop collaborative working relationships with data users throughout the organization, providing handson support and guidance in data analysis and process improvements Design, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports to provide insights into operational performance, monitor KPIs, and track progress against goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities to improve Metro-Norths operations, ensuring best practices are in place.
- Drive solutionoriented conversations that encourage continuous improvement, while ensuring concerns are heard, considered, and addressed.
- Manage projects, coordinating communication and tasks as needed to meet project requirements, and providing regular updates on potential risks.
- Document processes including development and publication of Standard Operating Procedures internally and for external customers, where appropriate.
- Evaluate organizational capabilities, escalating any issues or concerns that may interfere with meeting required outcomes.
- Communicate regularly and effectively to ensure alignment on information, direction, and emerging considerations.

The following is/are preferred:
- Knowledge of Metro-North operations and organization, policies, and procedures preferred.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management, Transportation, Finance, Statistics, or related field. Demonstrated equivalent experience, education, and technical credentials to include four (4) additional years of related experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in data analysis preferably in a transportation environment.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing projects or managing staff or a diverse workforce.
- Masters Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Operational performance management in a transportation environment
According to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the Commission).
Employees driving company vehicles must complete defensive driver training once every three years for current MNR drivers; or within 180 days of hire or transfer for an employee entering an authorized driving position.
