Day Shift
Monday-Friday

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Training rate starts at $18.45 per hour and finishes at $27.07 per hour at the completion of training.


Job Summary


Support production by monitoring and maintaining raw materials and waste materials, ensuring the integrity of hazardous waste collection and systems.


Job Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Maintain lubricant systems levels and assemble mixtures.
  • Measure and dispense liquid and powdered dyes into enamels per specifications.
  • Collect hazardous waste from enameling machines and chemical storage room.
  • Use of compactor to compress solid waste.
  • Prepare waste shipments for delivery.
  • Inspect hazardous waste storage (weekly); per internal procedure.
  • Inspect satellite storage (monthly); per internal procedure.
  • Inspect production waste cans (red cans) Halls I, II, III and maintain compliance and integrity of cans per internal procedures.
  • Request maintenance tickets for nonconforming cans.
  • Assemble and stage enamel drums for machine use.
  • Ensure proper enamel levels are maintained in chemical storage, dispensing, and production halls.
  • Maintain day tanks with the use of pneumatic diaphragm pumps.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by department management.
  • Maintain records necessary to evidence compliance with internal operating procedures and external regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Frequently handle liquid and powdered dyes, enamels, and solvents.
  • Frequently handle spent processing materials (Hazardous Waste, liquid, and solid).
  • Operate a fork truck and electric pallet jack.
  • Obtain Hazmat certification and attend annual recertification courses.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Frequently move materials weighing 15 lbs. to 500 lbs. manually or mechanically.
  • Work in a factory environment that is not temperature controlled, often begin very warm during the summer months.
  • Wear specified PPE goggles, chemical resistant gloves, airpurifying respirator, as necessary.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of fork truck experience required.
  • Must pass preemployment physical and background check.

Pay:
$ $27.07 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
