ASEA is seeking an Accountant (M/F/d) for our location in Munich, Mount Arlington, NJ.

We offer a modern and vibrant office space in Parkstadt Schwabing, a friendly and collaborative team, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with the finance department at our global headquarters in the US. You will manage the German finance department, overseeing planning, accounting, reporting, compliance, and audits.


Your tasks will include:

  • Managing accounting for the German market
  • Handling accounts payable
  • Reconciling accounts to prepare balance sheets
  • Assisting with statutory reporting
  • Knowledge and experience in payroll accounting (LODAS) is required
  • Processing travel expense reports
  • Supporting with audit requests and report preparation
  • Assisting with tax compliance and reporting
  • Collaborating with the US finance team on European financial matters

Your Profile:

  • Completed commercial education with a focus on German accounting
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience and ability to prepare financial statements according to HGB
  • International experience is preferred
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Open to working in an international environment and taking on international tasks
  • Independent and proactive with a high level of initiative
  • Proficient in MS Office and DATEV
