- Clean and disinfect a variety of endoscopes and endoscopic accessories.
- Monitor endoscopes and instruments to ensure they are performing at optimal levels.
- Identify and label instruments for processing and high-level disinfection expiration.
- Operate and maintain automated endoscope reprocessing equipment utilizing proper operating procedures and methods in accordance with manufacturers recommended parameters.
- Follow policy procedures protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain patient data and quality control logs.
- Oversee the care, handling, and maintenance of endoscopes. Inspects endoscopes and reports broken equipment to supervisor.
- Clean the endoscopes properly, dry, and store instruments and supplies using proper stocking and storage techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience as a sterile processing technician, operating department or procedure room experience.
- No experience required with preferred qualifications.
- Sterile Processing Technician certification.
- Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) certification.
