QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Science or related field from an accredited college or university
(required):
Master's degree in Science or related field from an accredited college or university
(preferred):
2 years' experience as a Science instructor or tutor
(required):
Knowledgeable with AP Science content and tests
Science competition knowledge
(preferred):
Professional communication skills (both spoken and written)
Proven experience assisting students with essay review
Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
Enthusiastic about working with students and parents
Able to maintain strict confidentiality
Highly organized and detailoriented (attention to detail and accuracy are imperative)
Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
Good judgment and decisionmaking abilities
Good problemsolving skills
Good planning skills
Highly responsive
Highly proactive
Highly reliable Integrity

JOB DUTIES:

Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum Development to develop lesson plans and curricula as needed
Prepare students for science competitions
Assess students' needs and provide extra support in any lacking areas
Provide homework help as needed
Able to lead a classroom of students effectively and work efficiently with students
Good classroom management skills
