Linux (Redhat) Administrator

Location:
College Park, MD

Summary

Responsibilities

Linux Administrative activities include:

Patching servers monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities.
Resolve daily issues on Red Hat servers and escalate if assistance required.
Troubleshoot issues on Red Hat Identity Management servers.
Troubleshoot issues on Certificate and PKI infrastructure.
Must be available for 24x7 on call rotation.
Resolve help desk tickets.
Must be able to work with oversite to execute against a set of requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
Should have working knowledge of Red Hat Linux
Ability to identify and troubleshoot and resolve tickets opened for routine tasks.
Identify backup failures of VM's and work with Backup admin to resolve the issues.
Reset passwords, create accounts, Assign permission.
Manage file mounts, monitor space usage and increase as appropriate.

No Remote Work allowed. No remote work requests entertained. Overtime is not required. Travel is not required. Weekend and on call work will be required.
