Ideal Skill Set: Must be licensed for the role, LCSW or LPC.
Essential Skills for this Position: diagnostics skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, team player, willingness to seek help when necessary, quick rapport building, non-judgmental, proficiency in computer and technology.
Job Responsibilities: Triage screening individuals at Same Day Access locations, assessing mental health and substance use issues, conducting intake assessments for mental health service referrals.
Example of a Typical Day: Engaging in SDA Readiness Huddle, using Teams platform for client services, conducting triage and assessments, documenting intakes.
Common Challenges: Interacting with new clients entering the agency for services, facing uncertainty about client issues.

Overview

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center offering behavioral health services to over 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and emotionally disturbed children in various counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health, BJC Behavioral Health acts as a primary entry point for individuals eligible for DMH-funded mental health services.

The program aims to prevent juvenile incarceration, address mental health concerns, provide treatment, interventions, and support to individuals.

Role Purpose

The Clinical Case Manager provides case management services to support community members recovering from serious mental illnesses.

Responsibilities

Authorizing, coordinating, monitoring, and adjusting services with providers.
Building and maintaining relationships with community resources.
Assisting clients in keeping appointments.
Offering collaborative clinical case management.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Master's Degree - Social Work

Experience

2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

No Experience

Licenses & Certifications

Class D (IL) or Class E (MO)

LCSW or LPC
