Job Title:

Financial Systems Business Analyst at State Accounting Office (SAO)

The State Accounting Office (SAO) is responsible for providing expertise in accounting and financial reporting for the State. The SAO manages the State's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, develops accounting policies, makes financial business process recommendations, and oversees the payroll and accounting shared service centers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyzing customer requirements and concerns
Configuring systems to address business needs and regulatory requirements
Testing configurations to ensure alignment with requirements
Delivering training and developing training materials
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Researching and analyzing system problems
Translating business needs into functional and technical requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of related experience, or an Associate's degree and three years of related experience, or two years of experience in a similar role.

Technical Competencies:

Researching and analyzing information
Developing solutions based on analysis
Documenting project standards and methodologies
Communicating information to stakeholders
Creating testing plans and scripts
Conducting training sessions
Adhering to deadlines
Effectively working with functional and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ERP systems like PeopleSoft or Workday
Experience in government finance
Ability to write and interpret functional and business requirements
Innovative approach to delivering financial solutions
