Business Analyst Position at Georgia Department of Human Services

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) in Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for a Business Analyst to join their Server Applications Team on a temporary contractor basis. This role requires a local candidate in the Metro Atlanta Area.

Role and Responsibilities:

Facilitates training for business users.
Analyzes business requirements and proposes effective solutions to stakeholders.
Acts as a liaison between development team and business stakeholders.
Consults with vendors or technical staff to ensure system functionality complies with standards.
Develops change management plans and documents business processes.
Evaluates new technologies to enhance system efficiency.
Participates in setting standards and procedures for system development.
Provides customer support for system maintenance.
Researches and analyzes system/user problems.
Tests new installations or upgrades.
Performs additional professional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum five years' experience as an IT Business Analyst.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with various project life cycles and methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard software applications.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience in user requirements sessions, JAD sessions, and UAT.
Ability to write BRDs, FRDs, and use cases.
