Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for various tasks in our distribution center, including heavy equipment operation, inventory control, order picking and packing, shipping and receiving, and fabricating.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and organize materials within the warehouse
- Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate stock levels
- Utilize order picking systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Pack and label products for shipment according to company standards
- Receive incoming shipments, inspecting for damages and verifying accuracy of contents
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment
- Fabricate materials as needed for production or shipping purposes
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and procedures
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Knowledge of order picking and packing methods
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to fabricate materials using appropriate tools and equipment
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus
