Here's what you can look forward to as a valued member of our team:

Hiring Range: $ $32.61 per hour (pay range dependent on experience and certifications)

Shift: 1st Shift (occasional overtime is required for emergency situations, snow plowing, etc.)

Dental Insurance - The Rapid offers two dental options through BCBSM, including orthodontic coverage.

Vision Insurance - Is offered through BCBSM, utilizing the VSP network.

Life Insurance - We provide up to $20,000 in basic life and AD&D insurance. Employees are eligible to purchase additional life insurance.

What will you be doing in this role:

Carpentry

Masonry/concrete

Plumbing

Building HVAC equipment and controls

Landscape and irrigation systems

All work associated with bus shelter assembly, rehabilitation, and installation

All work associated with bus stop sign maintenance

Facility maintenance equipment operation, service, and repair

Snow removal

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

To be successful in this role you will need:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two or more years of related experience in general shop and/or building maintenance is preferred with experience of carpentry, compressors and motors.

Computer skills with the ability to learn new programs as required.

A valid Michigan Driver's License.

Own hand tools as necessary to perform the assigned work

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Posture: Continuous walking, pushing, stooping, squatting, and repetitive arm motion requiring full shoulder/elbow/wrist/hand mobility. Frequent lifting waist to chest, lifting below waist, pulling, kneeling, crawling, twisting and reaching.

Force Required: Occasional to frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
