Overview:
Seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a solo physician practice specializing in endocrinology, weight loss and wellness medicine.
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting the physician in various clinical and administrative tasks.
This is a full-time position located in an office based setting on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.Duties:
- Perform basic patient care duties, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations
- Assist healthcare professionals with procedures and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Phlebotomy
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Assist with prior authorizations for medications
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing their concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
