Title: Research Assistant (Business Development)

Location: Huntsville, AL

This position requires someone eager to research and identify business opportunities in government contracting/DoD. Must have excellent skills in researching and retrieving data from commercial / internal database systems, conducting analysis on that information, and making informed recommendations to leadership. The candidate must be very well spoken and articulate in written communications as well.

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Candidates for this position are required to abide by Federal Government site access COVID-related safety rules, as well as corporate safety protocol measures.

Responsibilities:

Research, track, and report in a standardized format as requested on companies, people, events, funding, and opportunities using open-source media (Linked-in, FedBizOps, GovWin, GovTribe, GAO Protest Docket, other).
Research specific needed data from internal past performance and proposal files for use in bidding capture targets.
Detailed analysis must support proposal development from capture phase through submittal and have knowledge of how to analyze a Request for Proposal (RFP) and develop proposal outlines.
Fully support the coordination of multiple simultaneous proposal efforts; organizing proposal reviews; tracking proposal metrics; generating data for corporate leadership; and preparing proposals for submittal.
Participate in all phases of the proposal process from decision to pursue, strategy development, and performance analysis.
Create writing templates; provide written feedback to leadership; developing schedules.
Must be well organized and able to perform well under pressure and meet critical deadlines with competing requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Adhere to company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Education/Skills Required:

Bachelor degree preferred; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool and SharePoint experience preferred.
Outstanding spoken and written communications skills are critical. Must be flexible for occasional non-standard work schedule.
