- Provide hands-on support for building and integrating prototype systems.
- Create and maintain mechanical designs, drawings, CAD models, and other artifacts for prototype systems development.
- Assist teams by leveraging engineering principles to assess system performance, durability, and vulnerabilities.
- Utilize mechanical and CAD design skills to improve structural system integration and functionality.
- Conduct research involving modeling, analysis, multi-physics tools application, lethality and vulnerability assessments, and other mechanical design advancements.
- Demonstrate system technologies, collect and validate test data, and engage with customers and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
- Effective collaboration with small and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in engineering design using SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of prototyping, general machining methods, and designs.
- Experience in aerospace, particularly in weapon systems, missile defense, and mechanical design.
- Familiarity with air vehicle design principles and methodologies.
- Ability to analyze failure modes, identify system vulnerabilities, and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in standard computer software for technical purposes.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- Experience with digital engineering design applications and ecosystems.
- Proficiency in software development tools such as Java, Git, Jira, MatLab, Game Engine, etc.
- Familiarity with reliability, lethality, and vulnerability methods for systems and system of systems.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis tools.
- Experience in weapon effects tools and methodologies.
