Description

Duties:


  • Leads a team of professional and specialist personnel responsible for performing mission program activities.
  • Attends and participates in conferences and discussions to resolve questions and problems on financial objectives and policies and to exchange information on current developments and plans.
  • Provides accurate data to support such programs. Uses knowledge of system architecture, logic and business principles to provide feedback, information and suggestions to facilitate financial and budget management within the programs.
  • Reports on the status and progress of work as well as team and individual work accomplishments.
  • Assist the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provides leadership in exploring alternatives and determining improvements that can be made in work methods, processes, etc.

Requirements:


Conditions of Employment:


  • This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.
  • The incumbent must achieve Level 2 Financial certification within 2 years of assignment.

Specialized Experience:One year of Specialized experience which includes (1) Administering budgetary support agreements, manpower, and contract management support; (2) Developing justification statements and presentation materials that document and explain that status of funds, expenses, and obligations; (3) Interpreting and reviewing budgetary policies/guidance past and present; and (4) Manages reports on work accomplishments, problems, and training needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).


Education:

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
