Located in Chester, CT, Chapco, Inc has been a valuable and reliable partner in providing Sheet Metal Manufacturing Services, Assembly, as well as Product Development and Engineering Services since 1964.

Now led by a fun-loving serial entrepreneur, Chapco continues to strengthen our core business by adding various product lines; Denlar Hoods, Fastcorp Vending, and Samsara Fitness.


This position reports to the Shipping Manager and spends the majority of his or her time in the Shipping Department supporting efforts to ship parts on time and efficiently.

May also spend a portion of his or her time on the road delivering parts to customers and vendors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare product for shipping by packing, creating labels, etc.
  • May verify conformance of parts to specification.
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or with forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack. Moving, bending, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Understand and assist in meeting stringent production time standards. Works with shipping and other department to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
  • Understand and follow basic box truck road laws.
  • May be required to drive box truck or delivery van throughout CT and surrounding states to deliver manufactured parts, ontime to customers/vendors, and act as the face of the company in these interactions.
  • Follow company policy pertaining to maintenance and safety requirements.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Maintain a clean environment and organized at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must possess valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong team player and reliable, provide great customer service
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Sitting, Standing, Lifting are required.
  • Strong computer skills preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite, UPS Worldship, FedEx manager
  • DOT Health Card (a plus if you already have, ability to obtain may be required)
  • CDL a plus but not required.
