Position Summary:

As an Administrative Support Specialist for Pyle you will assist the safety training team in Loss Prevention.

The position involves processing motor vehicle tickets, gathering and assembling documents to create qualification files for employees with specific skills, maintaining training sign in records, creating and updating data bases and reports, following up with operations leadership to track down documents and plenty of paper and electronic filing.


The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support for safety programs with a focus on employee training and compliance record keeping.
  • Gather and organize documentation to establish qualification files that comply with regulations for Fleet Technicians and Facilities Maintenance personnel who perform commercial driving functions.
  • Maintain accurate timely spreadsheets.
  • Review reports and images to confirm that cameras mounted on tractor trailers are properly adjusted and functioning.
  • Follow up with Fleet Maintenance when camera adjustment or repairs are needed.
  • Process parking tickets and fines by reviewing the details, tracking information on a spreadsheet, sending notification to company leadership.
  • Assist with tracking the completion of routine periodic safety inspections performed and approved by Pyle Fleet Maintenance locations on tractor trailers owned by independent contractors.
  • Assist with the administration of Safety Meetings by preparing materials and gathering and tracking signature records from all locations coving all shifts. Records, and communication with company leadership as necessary.
  • Assign and track Reasonable Suspicion Training to supervisors throughout the company.
  • View short clips from videos installed on tractor trailers, then make document decisions to forward to Safety Trainers as to if a video event requires coaching.
  • Answer phone calls involving Complaints/Compliments about our drivers and document following the prescribed procedure.
  • Assist with answering the accident and injury call line.
  • Receive phone calls from Service Center Managers and Custom Dedicated Account Managers and assist them with related questions
  • Assist with support services within the department as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must have sufficient verbal skills to be able to converse with customers and coworkers in an intelligent, clear manner.
  • Good phone skills / etiquette.
  • Pleasant, friendly, helpful voice.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Must be able to track, calculate and understand percentages and trends.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Good common sense.
  • Must be able to read and understand regulations and changes to regulations and how those translate to our work environment and the specific duties our employees perform.
  • Ability to comprehend standard concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.
