    Health Services Data Analyst

    Research Analytics and Planning Bureau

    Helena, MT

    Mission: Montana Department of Corrections is focused on building a safer community through Accountability, Rehabilitation, and Empowerment.

    Job Overview:

    • Research, develop, and apply techniques to collect, analyze, and report health care information that supports data-driven decisions, reduces costs, improves care, and positively impacts lives.
    • Responsible for updating data models to meet industry standards and project needs.
    • Collaborate within the agency on research projects and integrate data sources for projections.
    • Prepare research reports with recommendations and descriptive content.
    • Focus on healthcare data projects within the RAP Bureau and assist with other departmental data analysis needs.

    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
    • Experience with Tableau preferred.
    • Skills required include effective communication, creative thinking, interpersonal skills, and time management.
    • Knowledge of the health sector, EHR, medical terminology, and medical billing is valuable.
