The Value Stream Operations Lead is the responsible point of contact for the products within the assigned Value Stream(s) for production planning, supply chain, production, quality, and logistics to meet program milestones, successfully transition product to the factory, support on-time delivery of high-quality products, support rate-readiness activities, and achieve cost and sales targets.


Hybrid:
Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
- _The position supports work that covers a variety of shifts in a 24-hour/seven-day schedule, as such, there may be a need to support work on occasional nights and / or weekends._


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Establish key elements of strategic and tactical operation plans.
  • Contribute to Manufacturing Transition and Build Plan
  • Prepare forecast and status of monthly sales performance
  • Ensure alignment with the customer program objectives.
  • Manage / coordinate production sites to deliver to end customer
  • Primary point of contact to the customer, along with the Value Stream Lead, for operational discussions
  • Establishes robust control and reporting systems to monitor progress against plans and business metrics.
  • Formulate and drive plans, root cause and corrective actions, recovery plans and projections, based on analysis of program metrics and status.

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:


  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience
    or **an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
    or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Aerospace Industry experience preferred
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience in a customer facing role is desired
  • Experience with basic production configuration management, planning principles and ERP system tools (i.e. SAP)
