Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Security Specialist to join our team to help contribute to our success and help us solve problems with innovation through intelligence.


The Security Specialist will provide security support to System High Corporation to include a wide variety of responsible and confidential administrative, analytical, and research duties.

Will provide security support to corporate office and System High customers. Additional duties may include Insider Threat Program management and SCIF tenant oversight.

The Corporate Security Specialist duties include, but not limited to:

Security Administration and Oversight

  • Execute the corporate National Industrial Security Program (NISP) IAW applicable DoD regulations and guidelines; fillin as the acting FSO when necessary
  • Responsible for updating and promoting security processes and procedures and identifying opportunities and recommendations for improvement
  • Manage the corporate Insider Threat (InT) Program, maintain SOP, develop training, conduct quarterly meetings with the InT working group and inform management of challenges and successes
  • Maintain company security databases; identify gaps within the company NISP and provide actionable recommendations
  • Responsible for assisting employees with eQIP and SF86 review and submission
  • Work closely with the Corporate Security Manager to facilitate the administration of employees' initial security indoctrinations, refresher briefings and debriefings
  • Assist the FSO with physical security duties including, but are not limited to: SCIF/SAPF combos, access control, alarm accesses, and semiannual testing with vendor
  • Contributes to the preparation of presentations, proposals and quotes as needed for security related matters
  • Assist with the development of security SOPs, SPPs, and FFCs
  • Supports the FSO in preparation for and conduct of inspections with DSS, DoD and IC customers
  • Work closely with the FSO and Executive Leadership through the acquisition processes with other organizations (e.g. facility sponsorship, NISS facility requirements)

Customer Support

  • Act as an alternate security liaison with outside agencies. Responds quickly and effectively implementing corrective actions as required
  • This position provides additional support to direct customers on a contract basis, generally related to personnel security.
  • Act as the main point of contact and provide daily security administrative support to multiple SCIF tenants (e.g. badging, access control, tenant challenges)

Required Skills (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • PERSEC experience is required; working knowledge of JPAS, Scattered Castles, TALON, or JADE
  • Functional experience of the following security disciplines: DD254s, OPSEC, personnel security, training development, classification management, document control, and physical security
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM, and overall collateral program functionality
  • Experience with NCCS, NISS and/or other security professional databases or platforms
  • Highly desired experience in the following security disciplines: COMSEC, SCI administration, Special Access Program administration
  • Highly desired familiarization with ICD 705, ICD 704, DoDM Vol 14, Special Access Programs
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to constructively engage and resolve challenging situations
  • Independent selfstarter, proactive and professionally assertive
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills; attention to detail, and strong writing capabilities with excellent briefing skills
  • Computer literate; proficiency with MS Office Suite and share point; ability to learn new technology platforms as they come online
  • Ability to operate in a fastpaced, flexible environment; capable of multitasking and task prioritization
  • Experience with the acquisition of other cleared contractor organizations is desired
  • Available to work before/after typical office hours as work may demand

Clearance

  • Final TS, SCIeligible (negotiable)
  • Must be willing to undergo a polygraph.

Years of Experience/Education Requirements

  • Minimum of 35 years of administrative security experience (as an assistant FSO, CSSO, CPSO is preferred)
  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), etc. preferred or obtain within 1year employment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Travel

  • Less than 10% annual CONUS travel
