Job Summary and Qualifications:

As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will assist pharmacists in the functions of the department by procuring, preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals to standard policies.

You will accurately prepare sterile products for pharmacist check
You will accurately maintain computer patient profiles by entering medication orders and other patient information
You will accurately prepare and label medications for final check and dispensing by the Pharmacist
You will promptly respond to request and customer needs
You will deliver medications and provide other distributional services and quality monitoring for patient care and ancillary areas
You will generate computer reports/patient records and maintain paper flow
You will participate in the quality improvement activities of the department
You will perform activities related to medication and supply purchasing, inventory control and distribution according to approved policies and procedures
You will contribute to an efficient, productive workflow within the Pharmacy

What qualifications you will need:

Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Pharmacy Technician Registration must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Sterile Compound Aseptic Tech must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
High School Graduate / GED
