Description

The Support Specialist will provide assistance to individuals in need, offering support and guidance as well as Behavioral Health Services, primarily servicing ALTC members and Youth Program.

• Provide mentoring and support to individuals facing behavioral health challenges
• Conduct crisis intervention and manage situations effectively
• Utilize systems knowledge to navigate resources for clients
• Offer mental health counseling and support services
• Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive change
• Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to address client needs
• Implement crisis management strategies when necessary

• Previous experience in behavioral health or related field.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention and counseling techniques
• Strong understanding of motivational interviewing principles
• Knowledge of community resources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Peer Support Certified
• Spanish Speaking preferred but not required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card and Valid Driver's License are required.
