Position Name: Bartender

Location: Holiday Inn Resort,Jekyll Island, GA

Compensation: $9.00/hr + tips
Notice of training period:For the initial 3 weeks of employment, while restaurant is fully operational, all employees will be compensated at $15.00/hour as they will be performing non-tipped work. Upon the opening of the restaurant, employees will be compensated for their tipped role, with all non-tipped work being compensated at the state's minimum wage.

About us: The Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island is opening a new restaurant that is set to redefine dining on the island. Our coastal open-air restaurant will showcase regional seafood and ingredients, providing a unique dining experience for our guests. • The first 3 weeks will focus on training, obtaining ServeSafe Food Handler and TIPs certifications, and getting oriented into our company culture/operating guidelines.
• Upon restaurant opening, responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Pre-setting the bar
  • Prepare and serve beverages in a timely manner in accordance to the recipe specifications
  • Receive and process payment through POS terminal
  • Maintaining side work stations
  • Clearing and storing equipment in its proper place at the end of each shift
  • Must be able to handle guests requests courteously and work a flexible schedule with professionalism and respect
  • You are the key member making a mark on our guest experience by making them feel welcomed, comfortable and attended to

Requirements

Requirements:

• Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time without sitting or leaning.
• High school diploma required/GED
• Bartending certification a plus
• At least one year of prior experience as a bartender
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older, in accordance with alcohol serving laws in the state of GA
• Ability to craft cocktails in accordance to recipe
• Long hours sometimes required
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
• Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
• Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range
• Ability to walk long distances
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
