Description
We're seeking a Shipping Foreman/Group Lead for our 3rd shift.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in our fast-paced environment, preparing items for shipment with the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing general shipping activities
  • Leading the shipping staff
  • Maintaining the shipping department
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Physically moving bread/bun stacks to the shipping dock
  • Repetitive handling of products for depot locations
  • Shuttle bread trays and materials to staging areas
  • Unloading semitrailers, inspecting incoming shipments, and managing discrepancies
  • Loading cased bread/bun products onto pallets
  • Operating electric pallet jacks and stretch wrap banders
  • Managing computer functions for tracking goods
  • Collaborating within a busy dispatch department
  • Creating shipping labels and managing shipping information

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Detailoriented
  • Ability to multitask
  • Thrives in a fastpaced environment
  • Reliable with strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and followup abilities
  • Capable of running daytoday operations
  • Proficient in computer skills

Physical requirements:

  • Constant standing and walking on concrete floors and trailer beds
  • Frequent pushing/pulling of transport racks and bread trays
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, and carrying
  • Handling and grasping of bakery product trays, transport racks, and boxes
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving items up to 50 lbs
Additionally, reliable transportation and adherence to attendance standards for our 24/7 production facility are essential.
