    • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Masters degree
    • Administrative endorsement (preferred)
    • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience (preferred)
    • Experience with building level safety protocols and procedures.

    • JOB GOALS:
    A.

    To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested, and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.

    B. Manage safety and security programs for the school district and will oversee emergency response procedures.


    • PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Develops plans, procedures, and objectives to facilitate and improve safety and security programs.
    • Reviews building safety checklists to ensure checklists are current and completed on time.
    • Reminds administrators to schedule drills, following established safety protocols, including advanced notification.
    • Knowledgeable and current on all state and federal safety requirements.
    • Collaborates with SROs to coordinate school safety protocols and response to potential threats.
    • Coordinates evaluation and recommendation of digital safety tools to address bullying, threats, and self-harm.
    • Partners with the Director of Transportation and building principals to evaluate bus safety protocols and revise as needed
    • Conducts debriefings applicable staff members after an incident.
    • Chairs the district level safety committee
    • Supervises radio protocols and drills.
    • Provides safety training for district and building personnel.
    • Oversees response plans related to natural disasters.
    • Completes all district required state and federal safety reporting requirements.
    • Conducts site safety evaluations and reports findings to building principals and executive team.
    • Organizes off campus evacuation protocols, including identification and authorization for use of reunification sites.
    • Ensures application of safety and security protocols at public events, sports events, and other extracurricular school activities.
    • Recommends and implements procedures and best practices to prevent and deter violence at schools or other district properties.

    • Researches and recommends additions and improvements to the safety management program, particularly in areas such as emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
    • Acts as a member of the leadership team, as invited.
    • Coordinates with Director of Technology to assure vape detectors and surveillance cameras are working and located for maximum efficiency.
    • Coordinates safety technology recommendations and installation.
    • Conducts an annual safety gap analysis in all school sites and makes remediation recommendations.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    III TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    The annual contract will be based on 8 hours per day, 211 days of service. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy.

    Salary will be in accordance with the placement on the Administrative Salary Schedule commensurate with years of administrative experience and education.
