Job Summary and Qualifications:


As a
PBX Coordinator, you will ensure that critical information is disseminated immediately through proper channels and to all individuals immediately.

You will work in conjunction with the Information Technology & Systems (ITS) department to maintain up to date contact information, utilizing IT&S effectively.


  • Set schedule for aroundtheclock coverage for the PBX Department with qualified, dependable operators.
  • Ensure awareness of all Codes
  • Report any malfunction of telephone consoles, phones, switchboards, panels, etc. within the department to Director then immediately begin resolving any issue with the assistance of IT&S.
  • Ensure all operators maintain a calm, professional and customeroriented focus while communicating with individuals on the phone.
  • Generate and maintain a system of metrics for the department
  • Develop departmental process improvement goals which coincide with budgetary guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:


  • One year customer service experience in a public environment is required
  • Two or more years supervisory / managerial experience also required; Five years supervisory / managerial experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; Above average skill level with Microsoft Office Suite to include use of pivot tables, chart design, data importation, database management, and mail merge proficiency highly preferred
  • Telephone console or PBX system experience; system conversion or upgrade exposure also preferred
  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or Communications preferred
