The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) is a self-governing organization of science funded by the federal government and states. It currently operates 84 institutes and research centers in Germany and abroad, conducting basic research in the fields of natural and social sciences.

The General Administration is currently seeking a part-time (50%) Deputy Head of Central Cash Management (reference number 64/24) for the Department of Finance, in the Finance Division, to start as soon as possible for 19.5 hours per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payments for the entire MPG
  • Liquidity management within the central payment process for the entire MPG
  • Requesting funding
  • Operational contact for MPG's business banks
  • Developing unified payment policies for the MPG
  • Maintaining the central cash management accounting
  • Intercompany transactions with Max Planck Institutes
  • Preparing monthly and semi-annual financial statements for the central cash management accounting area
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements for the MPG
  • Representing the MPG in bank account management matters
