    Description

    Job Overview:

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • High School graduate or equivalent.
    • Previous histo tech and IHC experience required

    Scheduling Requirements:

    • Full Time
    • Day Shift

    Essential Functions:

    • Perform immunohistochemistry staining with Ventana, Benchmark, Ultras and the Leica bond,
    • Responsible for validation of new machines as well as validation and optimization of new antibodies,
    • QA/QC of antibody staining upon completion of daily runs,
    • Communicate effectively with Pathologist regarding current staining issues and procedures for staining,
    • Perform routine, histological responsibilities of embedding, microtomy, and staining, in addition to IHC responsibilities,
    • Responsible for trading staff in the IHC department, troubleshoot quality issues,
