Outpatient Counselor - Northridge, United States - Miracles in Action

Description

Provide individual and group counseling

Provide case management to ensure that client needs are met while in program and provide appropriate linkage and referrals for aftercare

Meet all paperwork deadlines

Consult with and refer to treatment team, caregivers, and other community agencies as necessary.

Work collaboratively with clinical staff to provide individualize treatment planning and care

Secure client information per HIPAA standards.

Maintain up to date knowledge of current standards of care and best practices for mental health, dual diagnosis, SMART Recovery, 12 Step, and Refuge Recovery.

Maintain knowledge of and act in accordance with current legal and ethical standards of the profession


Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health records (Experience with KIPU a plus). - Extensive experience in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. - Professional writing skills. Ability to write thorough group notes and progress notes

Effective communication skills. - Ability to network and build connections within the community - Ability to work flexible hours.

Meet and maintain certification with CCAPP

Pay based on license and experience.
