Description
AvGen Aerospace is looking for an Testing Technician to perform testing/ trouble shooting, and disassembly on various types of Aircraft IDG/CSD/Generator components and accessories.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Functional Test and disassemble all types of manufactured electric power components as required. Check clearances, tolerances and alignment, making necessary replacements and adjustments to assure conformance to manufacturer's specifications/configurations.
- Work in close cooperation with supervision and other support personnel to resolve problems as necessary.
- Utilize computer system by entering and retrieving information to perform normal daily activities.
- Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain neat and orderly work area.
- Work to specifications and use all required equipment to perform assigned work according to FAA and company regulations.
- May interface with customers (government personnel or auditors) as necessary.
- Inspect and disposition components and modules. Perform rework/repair, scrap and replace/order components, modules and LRU's as required.
- Verify electrical continuity, insulation resistance testing, and dielectric testing of electro mechanical devices.
- Use measuring equipment like calipers, micrometers, and bore and depth gauges.
- Resolves most questions and problems; and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Able to read and understand US Aviation Federal Regulations.
- Able to work in a High Electrical Power Test Area.
- Must be responsible, alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
Must have Min 2 yrs of aircraft component repair experience
Job Requirements:
*Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
*Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aircraft component maintenance
*Superior working knowledge and experience of electrical generators and hydraulic systems.
*Possesses a strong working knowledge of AC/ DC circuits, with ability to fault isolate
*Able to work in a fast pace /time sensitive environment, while multitasking
*Be organized, follow directions and be proactive with shop requirements.
*Demonstrate attention to Detail and be Quality focused.
*Have required tools and abilities using them.
*Able to read, write and speak English
