- Performs set ups, adjustments, and troubleshooting on various machine tools and ensures parts are made to print.
- Operates departmental equipment when machines are not available for set up.
- Assists Lead Person in trouble-shooting problems with programs, tooling, fixtures, and out-of-print parts.
- Checks critical dimensions of parts using CMM, QC gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Performs First Article Inspections using applied understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Trains operators and oversees operator's work as assigned, including equipment set up and adjustments.
- Assists manufacturing support teams with problem solving activities.
- Enters part quantities and work order information in software system using PC and moves parts to next operation.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area, safe work environment, and notifies safety representative, Lead, or Supervisor of unsafe conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 6+ years of experience with machining and manufacturing or formal apprenticeship and 2 years of machining and manufacturing experience required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
- Able to read, understand and follow work instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Intermediate Blueprint Reading and strong shop math skills required.
- Knowledge of Win SPC, Documentum, and Jira.
- Must be able to interpret and apply GD&T.
- CNC programming knowledge.
- Proficiency in with Windows Office and use of Personal Computer required.
- Must be available to work SUN-WED or WED-SAT, 3:30PM to 2AM.
- $27-$33/hr base + $3/hr shift differential
