Tasks and Process

As an industrial engineer, you combine two skills in one: economics and technology. You solve technical issues with business expertise, look beyond departmental boundaries, and coordinate different interests. During your studies, you will build a broad knowledge base through the interdisciplinary structure. At the beginning, you will learn the basics of business administration. In addition, natural science and technical foundations are also part of the program. In the last semesters, you will specialize in a specific area.

Requirements and duration of training

For the dual study program, you need a general or technical university entrance qualification; a completed technical vocational training is advantageous, but not required. The program lasts 3 or 3.5 years. The study and training alternate between theory phases at the university and practical phases in the company.
