    AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.

    We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

    You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

    You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

    Key job responsibilities

    Supports the Data Center Design Engineering, Principal Engineering, and Hardware Engineering teams to design and develop cutting edge concepts into new products.

    oWork on new product design and development project and work with internal teams to understand design requirements and solicit customer input.

    oCollaborate with other disciplines such as Data Center engineering, reliability, QA/QC and compliance teams to create well thought out products.

    oCreation of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements while delivering a return on investment.
    oWork with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment.
    oEnsure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries.
    oReview and approval of product design and drawings including mechanical parts, assembly, construction and electrical drawings.
    oDefine project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during manufacturing phases.
    oWork with field engineering and commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products.
    oAbility to provide support for manufacturing activities for the new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
    oSupport of Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review.

    oBe a leader within the product development team as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.

    oHaving fun while offering creative, out of the box solutions.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    oBachelor's degree or higher in engineering.
    o4+ years of experience with new product design, development, product Certification and support manufacturing of power distribution equipment.
    oNew Product design experience with low voltage (LV) distribution products with focus on switchgear, switchboards and panelboards.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    oKnowledge and able to interpret electric code NEC, NFPA, UL891, UL508, UL1066, UL1558, IEEE/ANSI C37
    oExperience in Engineering design, manufacturing, Quality control of the products such as Switchgear, panel boards, Power Distribution Units.
    oKnowledge of typical data center designs/architectures, and be following industry design trends.
