Join Our Team as an Educational Facilitator for Adult GED Program

Position:
Educational Facilitator (Part-Time)


Hours: 16 to 20 hours per week

Schedule:
Mostly evenings during the week and Saturdays during the day

Location:
Hybrid position with 60%-70% remote work from home


Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor student attendance and progress in our selfpaced GED program
  • Provide guidance and assistance to students as they navigate their educational journey
  • Plan and organize monthly to bimonthly inperson events for students
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall learning experience
  • Oversee the online selfpaced GED educational program
  • Provide guidance and support (coaching) to all adult students in their selfpaced online GED program
  • Utilize technology to enhance participant's educational experiences
  • Collaborate with B2F2 team to improve instructional practices and outcomes
  • Monitor each online student's progress and offer suggestions and strategies for their own improvement and goal attainment
  • Create and maintain a positive online learning environment

Requirements:


  • Strong passion for adult education and student success
  • Experience in adult GED instruction and/or curriculum development (a plus)
  • Proficiency in using and teaching technology tools
  • Ability to tutor/coach and mentor adult learners effectively
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and practices
  • Expertise and/or knowledge in Pennsylvania's GED requirements
  • Understanding of special education needs and accommodations (a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Availability for 2 weekly daytime team meetings in person, typically on Wednesdays

Preferred Qualifications:


  • College graduate or inschool working towards a Bachelor's degree (minimum)
  • Experience working in education or with adult learners
  • Familiarity with GED programs or similar educational initiatives

Compensation:


  • Pay range: $ $18.00 per hour based on experience
