The Site Custodial, It Takes A Village Site Custodian would be responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and disinfecting all areas of the site.

Site Custodian would also perform basic cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of an assigned building and associated grounds including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, trash removal, etc.

• Perform basic indoor cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of an assigned ITAV site including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, trash removal, etc.
• Perform regular upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscaped beds, play grounds and parking lots, including tasks such as weeding and trash removal
• Miscellaneous minor maintenance; (i.e. changing filters, unclog toilets, daylight bulbs etc)
• Assist in moving of office and classroom furniture, fixtures and equipment in support of potential staffing changes, relocations, remodels, program expansion and custodial requirements.
• Follow all health and safety regulations when performing tasks
• Perform and document routine inspection of interior and exterior areas to ensure they are free of safety hazards and foreign materials and are up to code per state guidelines.
• Complete janitorial checklists at the end of every shift.
• Ensure full closure of the site at the end of every day.
• Adhere to all related company policies and procedures.
• Other Duties Assigned

• Must be mínimally 18 years old
• Proven working experience as a Janitor
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Valid Illinois Driver's License

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• Daily lifting up to 50 lbs, to load and transport bulk supplies, furniture, fixtures etc.
• Occasional lifting of over 70 lbs., with assistance.
• Daily standing for periods of several hours while executing various tasks.
• Regular crouching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling etc. to facilitate various repairs and maintenance activities. Includes occasional ladder climbing and crawling under equipment buildings etc.
• Regular reaching, including overhead to stock & retrieve supplies, equipment, painting, repairs etc.
