***- Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies, Beneful and Pro Plan brands—product lines we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Allentown balances the identity of a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we're truly proud to call home.- As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing assigned commodities to ensure 100% availability to meet scheduled production for the factory. The primary areas of focus in this position will be inventory monitoring, ordering/expediting, freight, building internal/external working relationships, and daily/weekly/monthly reports.- Work with finished goods planning to determine required quantities of assigned raw materials needed based on the production schedule and MRP system to assure that the inventory balances will support production while avoiding excess inventories.

  • Order assigned raw materials as needed from outside vendors and sister factories using the SAP and any auxiliary systems. Freight planning as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendor communications and as the collection point for the vendor notification process (VNR).
  • Coordinate shipments of returned / rejected materials.
  • Publish a weekly receiving schedule for assigned raw materials and prioritize unloads.
  • Assist with master data updates of the MRP system.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in raw material purchasing and scheduling in a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, military or related environment
