    Quality Supervisor

    that will be responsible for the


    day-to-day activities of Quality Assurance Staff that operate in multiple buildings that handle incoming inspections, first article inspections, production support, gauge calibration, lab support and material incident process.


    Primary responsibilities will include:
    Supervise Quality team to meet daily requirements.
    Inspect Incoming parts flagged for 100% or sample inspection.
    Coordinate and lead the first article inspections, document and provide weekly reporting.

    Support production with daily meetings to address quality issues quickly to eliminate stoppages in production and delays to customer deliveries.

    Review daily reports on non-conforming material and lead resources to keep it items managed and processed to scrap, internal rework, or supplier return/evaluation/repair.

    Daily communications with the group to keep all areas managed, organized and report issues to management.
    Coordinate workload and overtime with team, along with approving weekly time entries in ERP.
    Communicate and work with manager/Human Resources to address employee and contractor issues.
    Lead assigned technicians on gauge calibration ensuring tools do not exceed calibration dates.
    Support other Engineering and purchasing groups with quality inspections and investigations.

    Knowledge and experience of performing accurate and thorough inspections of commercial items, machine parts, machine castings, electrical components, and cables.

    Read and interpret engineering electrical and mechanical prints drawings, including GD&T.
    Communicate technical information both written and oral to internal and external customers.
    Properly use basic mechanical and electrical inspection and measuring tools.
    Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
    Associate degree or technical certificate in engineering / quality discipline or equivalent
    Minimum of five years in quality assurance / inspection role
    3 years' experience in leadership position with direct reports
    Previous experience in machine and assembly/test environment
    Ability to lead and flex time to changing requirements that may occur with quality
    Knowledge of metrology equipment, such as CMM (Modus and Verisurf preferred), Optical Measuring Device (Keyence IM) , Microscope, FARO Portable laser Scanning
    Knowledge of NIST Standards for calibration
    Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Preferred) Common knowledge of machine tool basics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatics)
