- Designing and optimizing electrical components for systems.
- Creating AutoCAD engineering drawings in compliance with applicable standards.
- Performing system calculations for electrical systems.
- Establishing system testing requirements and assisting in equipment inspections and startup.
- Collaborating with project managers, physicists, senior engineers, and technicians to meet project deliverables, contract requirements, and budget constraints.
- Reviewing technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality requirements.
- Supporting compliance with Quality Assurance requirements according to PSC, customer, national, and international standards.
- Developing project schedules and manpower requirements.
- Reviewing development plans for adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- Creating and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation.
- Assisting with assembly, testing, and debugging during builds when required.
- Performing other duties as assigned and/or required.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, to begin projects independently (or as assigned), and to bring projects (or assignments) to a satisfactory conclusion on a timely basis.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 5 or more years of progressive responsible experience in electrical engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical drafting tools, AutoCAD (or similar drafting program)
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
