    Schedule: Full-Time/ Days (M-F) (40 hours weekly)

    Location: Remote

    The role youll contribute:

    The Research Lead Financial Analyst interacts with senior finance officers and department Directors to provide relevant, accurate, and timely information. The analyst performs research, collects data, and skillfully organizes and presents the analysis to management in written or oral format. Exercises objective, independent judgment in developing financial recommendations for management. Develops and trains staff in analyzing and organizing information into a coherent report, also trains on how to recommend and implement solutions based on this analysis, subject to the approval of management. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

    • Reviews and validates financial information, assumptions and methodology based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts, healthcare principles and AdventHealth systems.
    • Provides coaching to co-workers appropriately and effectively as part of overall responsibility and has ability to help staff to frame issues and apply analytical and critical thinking skills to problem resolution.

    Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

    • Self-motivated, detail-orientated, multi-tasker
    • Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Complete understanding of double entry accounting and an operational understanding of routine accounting functions
    • Excellent communication both orally and in writing, with proven analytical, follow-up and organizational abilities
    • Computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Word, and advanced experience in Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Index, etc.)
    • Knowledge of Research Finance
    • Clinical trials management systems (CTMS) knowledge and experience
    • Familiarity with federal requirements relating to grants and contracts.
    • Experience in federal grant-related financial audits
    • Experience in general business functions requiring interpretation of contract terms and conditions, financial analysis and/or responsibility for Revenue and Accounts receivable management.
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, OR Bachelors degree in non-accounting discipline with adequate accounting course work including intermediate accounting and other upper level financial and accounting courses
    • 3 years of experience in research finance/accounting, or a related field
